Tammy joined Blavity.org as its inaugural Executive Director in June 2021. As a non-profit executive she has unapologetically created, fought, disrupted, and interrupted practices for the sake of social justice. She moved an organization from 50% trust in leadership to 100% in one year. She shifted an 80% white organization to 90% Black and brown organization with all Director level positions being represented by women of color.

She has developed hiring processes for non profits, universities, foundations and consulting firms focusing on skills alignment and shifting prejudice out of practice. She has refocused her non profit career to build systems around Black wealth and access to pathways that create wealth. She has also used her power as an Executive to mobilize talent pipelines, funds, and training towards businesses invested in Black talent and has similarly made strong stances against organizations by choosing to not do business with those that don’t.

Tammy is skilled at making the “call out”, offering alternatives and holding businesses accountable to doing the good they say they want to do. Her education intersects Marketing and Curriculum Design. She is the wife of a Morehouse man and mom of a 5 year old boy.
